I know, I know, Billy Crystal is funny and talented (When Harry Met Sally is one of my favorite films) and he's a great host but is anyone else less than thrilled about this choice??  Is it just me??

Eddie Murphy was such a fabulous choice because he would have been unpredictable and he probably would have taken a hint from Ricky Gervais and skewered some of the celebrities in the audience for our amusement at home.....because shouldn't the show be written and performed to entertain us??  Yes, I'm glad Brett Ratner is out because he's such an ass but so sad that Eddie followed.

Billy Crystal is going to do a few Broadway-style numbers and his jokes will be clean and I will be bored.  Yes, good clean entertainment is a good thing but watching the Hollywood stars being forced to actually laugh at themselves in front of millions of people is even better.

I was so excited for the Oscars and now I'm less than enthused.   Thoughts???
