Beehivers,
I love The Queen! I mean, I REALLY love The Queen. My in-laws know about my fondness for the Royals (especially Her Majesty) and for the last 15 years, I've received Royal commemorative spoons, plates and coins to mark anniversaries and such. I coveted these little souvenir gifts, hoarding them like precious jewels or priceless works of art. My hubby on the other hand, couldn't give a rat's behind...and he's the English one.

Anyway, 60 years ago today marks the anniversary of King George VI's death and the day Princess Elizabeth became Queen Elizabeth II. To mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and 60 years on the throne, Buckingham Palace released the official Diamond Jubilee portrait. The Queen is 85 years old and doesn't she look amazing? Such poise, dignity and elegance. I love her! I say it around the house a lot. Whenever I declare my love for ANYTHING, my little whippersnappers would say, "Well, why don't you marry her?" Well my dears, believe me — if I could, I would!
God Save the Queen!
