Well, this is interesting.

Lady Gaga has always viewed fashion as art, an extension of self-expression and while she can afford and has donned some of the most exclusive couture in the world, she now admits to buying designer knock offs, as well.  

The Daily Mirror reports that she told fans that she picked up some counterfeit goods while in Japan. Gaga said: “In Tokyo, they have all these stores that have fake Chanel and Versace. And I’m an Italian from New York, so I still buy it. This jacket is a fake.”

Now I might have purchased the occasional Canal Street knock off -- I mean no one is impervious to a great bargain especially when the copy looks so good. The big difference though is that I don't have a gazillion fans who listen to everything I spew. I'm also not pals with the designers, especially Donatella Versace who may be small and shriveled up, but I have no doubt that she can go all kinds of ninja on somebody's ass. 

I'd watch your back Gaga, Donatella eats cigarettes and fake for breakfast, which is how she's achieved that fetching leathery exterior.
