Mackenzie Foy Cast As Bella and Edward's Daughter Renesmee?

More "Breaking Dawn" casting news! Hot on the heels of former "Lost" star Maggie Grace landing the plum role of vampire villain Irina, EW reports that 9-year old Mackenzie Foy is close to finalizing the role of Renesmee in Breaking Dawn!

Renesmee plays a pivotal role in the last installment of the "Twilight Saga" because she is the half-vampire/human spawn of Bella and Edward that is supposed to be condemned in vampire society. Renesmee's very existence and Irina's suspicions set into motion the chain of events that serves as the main plot point and climaxes with a showdown at the end of the book!

Foy is a relative unknown with only a couple minor TV credits to her name.

"Breaking Dawn" is slated to begin shooting back-to-back installments 1 and 2 next month with Academy Award winner, Bill Condon at the helm. We are so excited, can't wait!!!

Interesting casting choices -- what do you think of the Maggie Grace as Irina? Who would you have chosen?
