This is just horribly sad.  Multiple news outlets report that a gunman wearing a riot helmet, gas mask and bullet proof vest opened fired on a theater full of movie goers at the midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises at the Century 16 Theater in Aurora, Colorado.  12 people are reportedly dead and more than 38 people injured, including children, reports CNN

According to witnesses, the crazy identified as James Holmes, 24, kicked in the emergency door, threw in a canister of gas and then started shooting, picking his victims at random. The shooter was arrested at a nearby car park without struggle with a rifle and two handguns.  He told police he had more explosives at his apartment.  No word as to the motive behind this senseless killing spree.  

This is just mind-numbingly F'd up.  I just can't wrap my brain around this. 

I'm speechless.
