Well, damn. This is different. 

TMZ reports that Russell Brand and Katy Perry didn't have a pre-nup; therefore, Brand is entitled to half of Perry's earnings. They were married for 14-months which amounts to about $20 million!!! Now check this, Brand reportedly doesn't want Katy's money and has declined the cash. Say what!?? According to sources, the divorce is amicable and Brand is just a decent guy. Uh, I'll say. 

Look, it makes sense to me. These two are both fairly young, in their prime, still working, making kick-ass money (she more than he, but still...) who have no kids and were only married for 14 months. It's a clean break — let's move along the bus please. It makes me wonder if the tables were turned, would Perry just walk away from $20 million? Either way, if the story is indeed true, my humble opinion of Russell Brand has just sky-rocketed! Two thumbs up, geezer!
