Hell's bells, this is the best story of the day!  TMZ reports that Tareq Salahi is running for Governor of Virginia!!!  Just in case y'all don't remember this idiot, he and his ex-wife Michaele famously crashed a White House dinner and then about seven months ago, the estranged wife and former Real Housewife of DC cast member ran off with the guitarist from Journey.  Yes, THAT Tareq.  

Well, evidently Tareq is a multi-tasker because he told TMZ that he wants to officially announce his candidacy for the Governor race in the upcoming election.  Yup, you read right.

Via TMZ:

"Salahi says he wants to use his extensive life experience as a vineyard owner and reality TV famewhore to change how things are run in his home state.

 "I am troubled to see how our current political figureheads continue to waste tax payer dollars! I’m a big believer in limited government, keeping taxes, regulation and litigation low, and if I do win, everyone is invited to crash the inauguration!”

Excuse me: Hahahahahahahaha!!!  I'm sorry, Virginia but that's funny!  Wouldn't it be fab if his campaign slogan was, "Don't stop believing?"

We all knew this dude was shifty and shady but who knew he was also a comedian?  What a waste.
