Prince William and Duchess Kate are all smiles and doing the happy dance right about now. A French judge ruled in the Cambridge's favor and now Closer magazine will have to stop any further sales of the issue featuring Kate topless sunbathing, as well as hand over all original copies of photographs "within 24 hours." Further, the publication is banned from selling the photos to anyone else or using them either in print or online. The Cambridges are also reportedly looking to prosecute the photographer who took the pics.
In short, bitches got served!
Personally, I didn't think the topless photos were that bad. As we wrote in an earlier post, everybody in Europe does it. I do see how the Palace and specifically Prince William got all bent out of shape though. The French are supposed to have these "strict privacy laws" which are said to be tough even in Europe -- yet, while holidaying in France, the couple got papped while staying on a private and remote property. If I were William, I'd be worked up, too! Prince William is understandably very protective of Kate and being extra diligent to check these paps so that the same fate that befell Princess Diana doesn't repeat itself. Don't forget how Princess Diana was chased down by paparazzi, leading to her untimely death -- which, by the way, occurred in FRANCE.
